Then you’re just spending your loved ones’ money, still a loss for you and yours.

Maybe it’s because I’m European but I literally don’t see anything about China at all except when I see .ml posts (and I guess tankiejerk? again reacting to things).
Did you read the comment you replied to?
I’d love a useful heads up display with things like navigation, search (as in, “where the fuck did I leave my keys, they should be in my field of view”, not “what’s the capital of italy”), and something like a dashcam, where you can retroactively playback the last X minutes if something happened, but otherwise it gets deleted automatically.
And nothing gets off the device without my consent of course.
Today is the first day I regret having three monitors

Hardware@programming.dev•60% of PC gamers have no plans to build a new PC in the next two years — AI pricing crunch on RAM and other components paralyze enthusiast market
8·1 month agoIs that weird? I built my pc somewhere 5-10 years ago and it’s still going strong so why would I pay for anything new? My loading times are not the slowest of my friends when playing multiplayer games, and singleplayer games I play on my deck mostly anyway.

Enshittification@slrpnk.net•[Jeff Geerling] I'm never buying a Bambu Lab 3D printer again
21·1 month agoIt’s often not clear for everyone, even if it’s clear for you. As a person who’s not into 3d printing yet, but interested, all I know is youtubers that mention some sponsor brand, and often its bambu. So I’m glad I see this pass by on c/all before I actually take the jump and guess wrong.
From your username I assume this is yours?
Good writeup, though some typos (especially in pascal’s wager part, you missed a “not” somewhere that ruins the idea) (and heliocentric, not hellocentric, though probably fine for most people)
I’ll be sharing this with people, thanks!

25·1 month agoYeah, the “at least” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that headline.
Though I bet it’s hard to prove so they might not be able to even glimpse a fraction of what really happens.

ADHD@lemmy.world•Do undiagnosed ADHD folk turn to smoking to help drive them in the absence of proper meds? Do they find it easier to quit once medicated?English
8·2 months agoI think the joke is that a pot smoker would answer “smoke what?” to the question “do you smoke?” (As opposed to yes/no for people who smoke cigarettes, and people who don’t smoke, respectively), in combination with implying pot having beneficial effects.
