Vanity fair sends a free tote bag with new subscriptions lol I have no use for it. But now I might.

Nice, I can finally put that free tote bag I got with a magazine subscription to use.

I’ve got a small handful of random wallpapers I’ve collected over the years, but I’m really picky and almost always end up going with the stock wallpapers. I’m on Debian 13 and I’ve been using this one since Debian 11.

Omg I love that!

Omg I love both of those shows! Didn’t realize Wonder Showzen was made by the same guy as Xavier.

Definitely Xavier: Renegade Angel. Everyone I’ve tried to show it to irl thinks it’s the dumbest fucking show lol

I think so! I’m pretty sure they still give you 100 free searches to try it out, might be worth test driving before you pay for it. From what I understand it’s mostly Google on the back end with Kagi’s own algorithm. My favorite part about it is being able to rank how the results sort themselves based on sites you want to see more or less of, and some other pretty powerful filters. I definitely think it’s worth a shot if you’re curious.

Same! I have Wikipedia pinned as the first search result on Kagi if there’s an entry

Lmao I wake up in a fucking rage any time I let it get that far

For the first alarm, I use the default iPhone setting. For the second emergency alarm, I use Entombment of a Machine by Job For A Cowboy. I already wore that song out the better part of 20 years ago and it’s guaranteed to wake you up every time

god’s plan for the apocalypse maybe lol

Honestly with how much of a reality show the US already is, I’m surprised this hasn’t been tried and televised lol

Just blows my mind that they even delay it for paid users but I guess I’m blocking a lot of tracking stuff too, even without any ads to block

Not completely sure, but even as a paid YouTube Premium subscriber, when I open the website on my laptop (Debian 13, Firefox ESR and uBlock) it consistently takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds to load the page even on my 1gbps home internet while literally every other website loads pretty much instantly. I’ve been wondering the same thing as you tbh.

The absolute peak of gaming for me was the first time I got stoned out of my mind and played Minecraft. Probably like… circa 2012. I’ve never been able to get back to that place ever since lmao the colors were so vibrant, each pixel was absolutely perfectly placed. The light grey ui elements in your inventory… everything just tied together so perfect. It was like seeing a new color for the first time, but then every time after that is just, eh…

she’s SO BRAVE 🙄
I see a lot of potential for it to push people back to the small web too. Lots of people becoming interested in personal blogs lately, decentralized social media, the whole indie web movement, etc.
Its a classic
