8·3 months agoI think it primarily has to do with Microsoft requiring motherboard manufacturers to include their key, but other operating systems don’t have the pull. So it could potentially be seen as a form of lockdown. Personally I also don’t see the issue, especially now since it’s been a soft requirement for Windows for so long that most Linux distros just handle key generation and enrollment when installing.
