It literally did not. Even going back to just the last election (which is not where the problems started), people that stayed home could have prevented this.
If “did not vote” had been a candidate:

I would rather pay the exactly same amount in taxes as I do my rent that goes up every year. It sucks we get punished for existing, pricing ourselves out of shelter so the property owners can became even more rich…

Add it to the list.

People: what a bunch of bastards…
I was really excited at first!
Yep. They are adorable fuzzy little psychopaths. So we have to be the adults and look out for nature as well as them…

I’d rather visit someone who’s given a loving home to a cat/dog/whatever than someone who lives in a boring, sterile, oderless, pristine home. Children are smelly and messy and destructive too, but people have always managed with them! Clean after your pet regularly, and live life rather than perfection. They’re worth it…

That’s the paradox. You literally can’t earn that level of wealth in one lifetime, even as one of the most popular artists in the world. You have to underpay your people, overcharge your fans, avoid taxes that help real people, and have other means of preying on actual workers to reach the level of a billionaire idol parasite. And you have to do it the entire time knowing the cost to others…

How? There’s only one “Bubba”.

YOU’RE NOT A NORMAL PC!
That’s great news! No rush and don’t overwork yourself, though. We can be patient…

Tablets (including iPads) have rear-facing cameras.
I can reply to someone, I can even tap the “quote” formatting button, but I can’t select text to copy/paste! Very irritating, but maybe I’m just not doing it right…
I tried Thunder, and Connect, and Summit and Voyager and Boost. Nothing matched the experience I preferred with Sync, but it’s clearly abandoned by the developer and has many compatibility issues and bugs. So I signed up with a PieFed instance and downloaded Blorp. It doesn’t have quite as many features yet, but it’s the closest to what I want…
You might be whacking off wrong.

My latest… gun purchase? I bought a Remington 870 Express hunting shotgun maybe a decade ago. Non-firearm: I bought a matte black flatware set that was on sale for Black Friday that I really like!

That’s exactly the point. Those if us that want gun control don’t want to rip them from the hands of responsible gun-owners.
We want common-sense laws that let us research and prevent gun violence. We want to keep guns out of the hands of those too young to understand them, criminals, abusers, stalkers, and the mentally-ill. We want people to have to understand how to safely operate them before purchasing guns, going hunting, or obtaining a concealed-carry permit. We want to limit gun crimes and school shootings.
But Republicans, the NRA, and gun lobbies oppose all of these popular positions most Americans agree on, even though it results in more gun deaths. There’s no compromising with fundamentalists…
Grifting vulnerable people is not “genius”, it’s just immoral. Most of us won’t do it because it’s wrong and hurts others. I’m sick of pretending it’s because we don’t have brilliant galaxy-brains…
