when you share content to the public with little to no context it will be misconstrued and reshared as “evidence”.
what happens when there is a bunch of falsified or unverifiable “evidence” about a particular crime? all evidence comes into question.
why would that happen? because the defense will always attempt to discredit the claims against them and weaken the actual evidence.
if this miraculously goes to trial, the first argument the defense attorney will make is, “how can any of this ‘evidence’ be trusted if there’s so much of it that can easily be faked by the general public? how can we be assured that the accused isn’t being targeted by their political opponents and slandered?”
so, by posting and refusing to provide context of the joke and refusing to remove the fake image, they are supporting pedophiles and spreading misinformation.
