A new piece. Why do I do such things? I don’t know, I need to. It flatters me to think that my work is of interest to someone. I hope this little miracle continues, and that I always manage to convey musical ideas that carry with them a bit of the pleasure I feel when I compose them.As it is more and more the case these days, this piece was born with a simple, linear theme, which I began to distort and layer with its echoes. It’s a piece that’s perhaps jazzy, perhaps neoclassical, for piano, bass, and percussion.
