Notes:
- This is a known mess. Hope to clean it up in the future.
- Server creation dates are missing for some instances causing some calculations to fail (be blank). Should be fixed in the future.
- Not all instances were ‘found’ at the same time so some have more days of data than others. This does mess up some of the sum, mean, and std. dev. calculations. Should be less prevalent in the future.
- Pay attention to the table and column units (ex. %), the code was fighting me, so it’s not consistent throughout. Should be fixed in the future.
- Up to the top 20 most populated (MAU) instances are analyzed (
not consistently … will befixed). - Potentially going to look into finding a place to post the entire analysis of all 500+ servers (rather than top ~60).
- Please let me know if you have any calculations you would like me to run.

However, something to note:
There are multiple cases where the numbers are, to my knowledge, always natural, but that still show a.0at the end. Maybe it’d be better to omit these.0from the natural numbers since they’re never decimal anyways, as well to save some space.Also noticed an issue with PieFed → Mbin federation thanks to this post, so will poke the devs. 😬

Yeah, that is one of the bugs I need to squash. It was fighting me and after trying to make it work, I just skipped it to come back to later.

WOW! That’s an incredible amount of data. I don’t fully understand it. So could you come to some summary or conclusion with this?
Haha. Yeah, that’s in the plans.
My other weekly post on software has an automated “takeaways” summary at the top.
Once I figure out what the takeaways could be, I’ll program them in. I’m going to focus on bug squashing, to make sure the takeaways are accurate or as accurate as they can be, first though.

Do you have a git with your code?
No git. I did make a codeburg account to create an issue in a Foss program, so I could probably utilize that once the code isn’t horrific looking.
Is there a specific reason you want the git? I don’t mind sharing my code, just not sure anyone would be interested in it.
I consider Codeberg git. :) I don’t mean Github. Codeberg is great. Can I recommend you host it there, keep it private, and when ready you can then flip it to public.
You could also make it public and see if anyone helps you clean it up. :)

I already know where the bugs are I just need to implement their fixes. I don’t think anyone wants or should bother to spend their time fixing those bugs (especially when parts of the code are very inelegant at the moment).
