    Goddamn, I just want to say this is out there, in a good way. Almost unhinged. Is this a known dish somewhere or is this a homesteading on steroids kind of deal?

      Sorry, I typed up the comment thinking it was about tonight’s dinner.

      New comment: yeah, this is basically exactly what you said, homestead special. Exists on no diner menu. Only in the kitchen when you have leftovers and goose eggs that need eating.

      Old comment: This is pretty typical of a meal you’d find in western Pennsylvania where everyone has last names that start with W like Wareham, Wier and other very German names.

    Wow, I was jonesing the other day for something just like this, but the local diner didn’t really have anything close. Too bad, because they’re absolute wizards at omelets, whereas I’m a bit inconsistent.

    Whatever, to keep it simple I think I’ll just get a can of store chili, some eggs, and give it a go.
