I agree with your comment but take issue with the idea that we stumbled into this “consumer economy” by chance. Everyone involved knows what they did, they just didn’t care as the money flowed in.
Well, yes. I tried to say something like “if they saw selling children’s organs as more profitable, we would’ve ended up in a children’s organs oriented economy. The fact that we ended up with the consumer economy was just a random short luck”.
It’s not boomers. We built the consumer economy by a mere chance, now this obsession with growth just destroys it.
What will happen of this, is, of course, a feudalism
