All Belgian authorities paid a total of 2,2 percent of gdp on interest on their public debt, in 2025, about the same as the year before. The part the federal government paid went up from 1.60 to 1.68 percent of gdp. This was said during the presentation of the 2025 report of the federal debt agency.
