My favorite thing about fascists is their consistent inability to win wars against peer rivals.
also biting off more than they can chew cause of getting high on their own supply
It’s funny how blatant they’re being about it. Like you didn’t even change the title much. And the article is pretty transparent about saying there are concerns that they won’t be able to wage war against the DPRK or China because of what they’ve lost against Iran.
Like here:
Analysts believe war plans with North Korea call for a significant amount of US missiles, both to hit enemy targets and to defend US forces and Seoul from projected massive strikes by Pyongyang’s forces.
They aren’t even hiding it. They’re talking about Occupied Korea like it is just a US military base with the civilian people living there as an afterthought. Which is pretty much what it is, but it’s so mask off. And they call it “war plans”, not some hackneyed euphemism.
The O’Hanlon quotes are the most weasel word, but sound downright funny when you read past it:
O’Hanlon of the Brookings Institution said he doesn’t believe the US military’s ability to deter Chinese or North Korean aggression “has suffered yet.”
But the expert cautioned that “at some point” deterrence could wane. “It’s probably unmeasurable and unknowable where that point might be, since it’s largely about an adversary’s psychology,” said O’Hanlon.
“Unmeasurable and unknowable.” I guess that’s bourgeoisie intelligentsia for “I don’t fucking know.”
It really is incredible to read. But also kind of hilarious that they genuinely think they could take on DPRK or China given how things are going with Iran and Ukraine. The level of delusion is truly off the charts here.
Yeah, if Iran can hold its own against the empire, then I’m not sure it’s even exaggeration to say that China would be capable of doing a reverse uno and turning empire states into failed states. All the more so after all the resources the empire has burned against Iran. Not that China would want to do that much widespread damage, but I guess what I’m trying to say is, I really don’t think the empire has yet gotten the message that its hegemony is not coming back.
Exactly, we live in a whole new world now.
A war with China wouldnt even last a week. They’d immediately turn off the flow of treats and USian’s would be rioting in the streets
My countrymen rioting over losing the flow of goods from China wouldn’t include any class consciousness. It would just leave us open to another bourgeois dictatorship taking over. Trying to teach people of this nation class consciousness is like trying to teach evolution to theists.

Would have been better to just call them “Unknown unknowns.” lol
At this point, I’m not even sure the US is capable of mutually assured destruction. Like they’d launch everything at China, who would shoot everything down, then not even have to respond because chuds would be pissing and shitting themselves all over the capital demanding the government try and nuke China again only for capital police to open fire before someone who read the Unibomber manifesto blows up the Washington Monument.
I’d like to caution away from underestimating the US nuclear capacity. Not as a way to lionize the imperialists, but because it is becoming scarily common to brush off the potential consequences of nuclear war with assumptions of ineptitude on part of the enemy. Even if there is a 1% chance that the US can perform a global nuclear holocaust (which I’ll just say it’s likely a lot more than 1%) we should not in any way normalize with rhetoric the use of a nuclear arsenal in any serious capacity.
I’ve noticed since the start of the 2022 Ukraine war that this rhetoric (though often used against Russia by chauvinists) I’d becoming increasingly common. I feel it is my responsibility as a student of nuclear science to discourage it, since the outcome of this normalization would be the murder of billions of people, and potentially the extinction of humanity.
Memeing aside and for serious, yeah launching nukes would be bad becaus it normalizies their use. Even if China shoots all of them down and doesn’t retaliate, there is now an established precedent. Anyone combating the US knows they will be used and now has an incentive to launch theirs first. Even one hit would kill tens of thousands of people at minimum.
I’m just hoping should reactionaries decide on the Samson Protocol, it won’t be as bad as it could be because other nations correctly predicted how to counter it.
You’re probably right but among the things we know, China and allies have access to cheap hypersonic missiles and cheap drones, both of which the US doesn’t have and may play a part in being able to defend against nukes. China also knows how to detect nuclear subs. And that’s not getting into what it has hidden. It’s less assumptions of ineptitude and more “the potential nuclear target is powerful enough to resist.”
I’ll defer to you, though, as you’re in the relevant field.
That’s wild you should hit up @/ETERNALPHYSICS@twitter.com whenever he emerges from the void again
I’ve never used Twitter, so I’ve no clue who that is or why it’s relavent.
That’s fine, I still get two OSINT guys in nuclear science. I enjoy fighting through decaying wastelands, that’s all I will say in my defense. The Venezuela bit you wrote was great too. On that note I’m going into torpor.
