There were 2,000 more deaths than usual during the heatwave of June and early July, according to the public health institute Sciensano. This represents an excess mortality of 48 per cent and an increase in the number of deaths compared to the 1,747 deaths reported last week.
Going by the PM’s comments, these probably were all people not using common sense… /s
