Somebody asked recently why I never responded to a work email. It was obvious in the first line that they had used a chatbot to write it.
I told them that I had assumed it was an elaborate phishing attempt, because it was completely different from their usual writing style. They admitted to using a chatbot to “help with a few points” in the email.
I asked if they could just refrain from doing that in the future when emailing me, and that I’d rather know the email is their words. I playfully followed up with “if you can’t take the time to write me an email, I won’t take the time to read it” as well.
