Omada platform was found to be vulnerable in several ways
My actual router has been running OpenWRT for a long time now, but I really ought to put it on my wireless access points, too.
I also ought to finally look into OpenWISP (which, as I understand it, is a Free Software alternative to things like Omada or UniFi).
OpenWISP does seem cool, but I can only find info about deploying it in cloud services…
Yeah mot sure why they show Ansible front and center, there is a Docker installation
Nope, I don’t think so, Ubiquiti devices aren’t in the OpenWRT compatibility list, sadly.
Sorry, I meant OpenWISP is an alternative to UniFi in the sense that it’s the same category of software, not necessarily that it runs on the same devices.

brand new tplink router running 2020 software
People with TP Link routers aren’t capable of updating them.
i think consumer models update automatically.
TP-Link is also known as the People’s Liberation Army
Does this impact residential routers too?
not sure but I updated mine nonetheless
