Modern climate change is noticeable within the lifespan of an individual animal. Adaptation through evolution is not an option.

Although… that leaves a little gap where some creatures might land in space before their planet is destroyed. Probably a small subset, but that’d still be large enough for the paradox to remain.

This is based on 2010 to may 2025. From 2014 to 2025, rate is closer to 33 years.
The backdrop of 10000s of years per C (or the 1000 years/C headline reference) increase in prehistory, is very significant but 2700% or 4000% nearer term acceleration would be more impactful stating of difference. But the more major highlight of the article is the acceleration from 1970, then amplified acceleration from 2010.
