Install browser extensions that replace all video thumbnails with randomly selected video frames. All of a sudden, the startpage looks like a bunch of car salesmen, nothing but talking heads. No polish, no arrows. Did wonders for me. I think the one I use is called DeArrow, and it allows you to hide shorts, comments, recommended section and more. Really useful.
Deactivate yt-history to inhibit that crack-cocain-algo
Get out of algorithm and suggested video streams completely. Use NewPipe or something and only use subscriptions or intentional searches.
The kind of content and creators I watch are mostly on Nebula. I’m spending more and more time on Nebula and away from YouTube.
