❗️Knesset reports steep 53% decline in Israeli settler migration and surging outbound migration
Expand
A recent official Knesset Research and Information Center report highlights a dramatic 53 percent decline in the number of Israeli settlers returning to the country between 2022 and 2024, coupled with a steady rise in outbound departures.
Citing data published by Yedioth Ahronoth, the study notes that annual returnees fell from approximately 8,000 in 2020 to about 3,800 by 2024, contributing to an overall migration deficit of roughly 140,000 individuals over that three-year span.
The research indicates that the downward trend is exacerbated by bureaucratic, economic, and social hurdles, including prolonged wait times for state health insurance, fewer financial incentives compared to new settlers, and severe integration challenges.
While North America traditionally accounts for the largest share of returning settlers, arrivals from the US plummeted from 3,700 in 2020 to 1,500 in 2024.

The days of the Settler colony are numbered. As the empire collapses, more of them will scurry away like rats.
They better be numbered. We don’t get many good news these days.
I think there are about to be a lot of disillusioned Indians.
VIDEO | “I did a leg amputation on a 5-year-old girl, and the only anesthesia that we had was the anesthesia doctor singing to her … We were praying for her to faint … She stayed awake the whole amputation.”
During a recent interview, Dr. Mark Perlmutter shared a harrowing account of performing an emergency amputation on a five-year-old girl in Gaza without any proper medical anesthesia, relying solely on an anesthesiologist singing to keep the conscious child calm through the procedure.
Describing emergency rooms overflowing with children missing limbs, the orthopedic surgeon stated he directly appealed to a US senator to urge President Trump to intervene and halt the relentless Israeli attacks.
VIDEO | “I don’t serve Israelis, I don’t serve baby killers.”
A fitness center owner on the Indonesian resort island of Bali refused service to and expelled three Israeli tourists from his facility over their ties to the Israeli military and poor treatment of local staff.
The confrontation occurred at Ayenda Gym in the Ubud district of Gianyar Regency, where footage captured 32-year-old owner Samir ordering the men to leave the premises.
During the exchange, Samir questioned the individuals regarding their service in the Israeli military before telling them they were not welcome.
❗️In response to a post by US President Donald Trump describing the Strait of Hormuz as “new US territory,” the Iranian consulate in Hyderabad, India, published a satirical map depicting the state of California as new territory of the Islamic Republic.

First it was commiefornia, now it’s the CAliphate. God that joke was horrible, but I know I got a couple comrades with it.
I’m sorry but that was beautiful. I’m calling it the CAliphate going forward.
How about Khalifornia?
Yes I spent more than an hour making this

The bear faces East, for the light of Allah is nowhere in the West.
The kufic script reads “Islamic Republic of California” and I’m horrible at calligraphy, so if it looks wonky then that’s why.
BREAKING | A jury has failed to convict Palestine Action activists Madeleine Norman, Hannah Davidson, Teuta Hoxha, Ola Alexandra Herbich, Ian Sanders, William Plastow and Yulia Brigadirova in the latest Filton 25 trial, over allegations of criminal damage and violent disorder at Elbit Systems’ Filton site in 2024.

VIDEO | ‘I never understood why Israel didn’t expel all the Palestinians.’
Israeli settler and online personality Rivka Lafair has publicly criticized Israel for failing to forcibly ethnically cleanse the entire Palestinian population during the 1948 Nakba and 1967 war, framing their survival and demographic growth as “unfinished business” that still needs to be addressed.

The actual video is so much worse than this description in my opinion.
VIDEO | ‘Israel still occupies the Golan against UN resolutions, against the entire international order.’
United States Ambassador to Turkiye and Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq Tom Barrack publicly broke with official US foreign policy by stating that Israel’s continued occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights violates both international law and United Nations resolutions.
The remarks directly contradict the 2019 decision by former US President Donald Trump to formally recognize so-called Israeli ‘sovereignty’ over the strategic plateau.
The Golan Heights is currently occupied by roughly 20,000 Israeli settlers alongside an indigenous population of approximately 26,000 predominantly Druze residents who maintain their Syrian identity.

— 🇺🇸/🇮🇷 NEW: Iranian leaders have used the period following the June Memorandum of Understanding not to prepare for deescalation, but for a larger conflict with the United States – Wall Street Journal
In Iran’s view, the MoU was just an attempt by the U.S. and Israel to take pressure off the economy and buy time for a larger attack in the future.

—❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷 President Trump on Truth Social:
‘No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a Deal than me. TRAGICALLY, for them, they have failed to take it. Therefore, today, I am announcing the MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER TAKEN AGAINST ANY COUNTRY! This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale.
Their navy is gone, their air force is destroyed, their military factories are now rubble, their currency is worthless, and their country is hanging by a thread.
Today, I am also announcing that ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences. Oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, front companies — It all needs to stop NOW. You know who you are. This will be an ECONOMIC D-DAY, and we need all of our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat.
These maniacs are on the ropes, and these HISTORIC MEASURES will cripple them and their ability to project terror worldwide. IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!’

Maybe this is a reactionary opinion, but I think after the revolution in the US, one of Communists first priorities should be to issue details about 5 year plans to the public in the same way Trump posts on Truth Social.
Dedollarisation is a stupid word and fucking trump is gonna make everyone say it even more than they already do.
Another D-Day, another D-Dollarisation
I guess Trump wants more US bases destroyed.
❗️Syrian Kurdish leader announces complete integration into US-backed state institutions
Expand
Syrian Kurdish leader Mazloum Abdi announced that the integration of the Kurdish-led administration and its military, security, and administrative institutions into the official structures of the Syrian state is fully complete, effectively concluding the region’s pursuit of autonomy.
Speaking in Qamishli during an event marking the city’s centenary, Abdi stated that the move opens a “new phase” centered on political efforts to secure and cement Kurdish rights within the country’s national constitution.
The milestone follows months of intensive negotiations and a landmark agreement signed in January by Abdi and self-imposed Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa following clashes across the oil-rich northeast.
Under the implementation of the deal, government forces have entered key urban centers like Hasakah and Qamishli, while Damascus has assumed management of regional oil fields and the Qamishli airport.

Hmmmm, would you look at that, the SDF folding into the Syrian state, something they completely refused to do during Assad.
“What were they supposed to do?! They lost all arms support from the US!”
Says the western leftist, in a pitiful attempt to justify their support for an imperialist proxy.
In response I say:
THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE OUTCOME FROM DAY ONE!
“Assadists” made this clear every single time the topic of Rojava came up. That their project was predicated on the Assad government existing, and without it, the US would dissolve them immediately, having got what it wanted. Their political project was reliant on how it benifeted US imperialism, therefore making their struggle against the interest of the global working class.
This, according to a basic leninist analysis, should have disqualified support from principaled Communists. Yet, reeking of moralism and chauvnism, western leftists plugged their ears and still expressed admiration for a literal imperialist occupation of a sovereign global south country.
It would be less infuriating if these folks just admitted that our analysis was correct with hindsight at this point. However they still cling on to this notion of Kurdish
national liberationeventual ethnonationalism being this thing that every leftist must support. They even go so far into justifying how Kurdish factions in Iraq (who are significantly more aligned with the US and Israel) undermine the core of anti-imperialism in West Asia, the Islamic Republic of Iran. They are so enamored by the aesthetics of class struggle, that they can not see the material reality of how it is occurring at this very moment!
Truly this fantasy, is a completely maddening display of revolutionary voyeurism.

I’ve started calling Kurdistan “Kurdish Israel” to the hatred of many reddit leftists. I’ve said before, the only place that Kurdistan makes sense to be carved out from is Türkiye, they’re a semi-periphery country (honestly they’re arguably an imperial core country, but i think thats up for debate) that is responsible for a large amount of the crimes committed against Kurds, and are currently the biggest barrier to the Kurdish people. Iraq, Iran, and Syria, are all global south countries that were formerly colonized, fracturing them does not aid the region’s working class against fighting the imperialists who once colonized them.
This is their QED

I guess that’s their only calculation.
Truly
It surely is. Your posts here are coming out of order. I’ve been in touch with kbin admin about federation issues, I will post about it directly probably in the morning. Please forgive my prior question, I hadn’t yet read this post.

❗️Australian judge slams envoy’s antisemitism definition as tool to silence anti-Israel protest
Expand
A New South Wales Supreme Court judge has delivered a damning critique of special envoy Jillian Segal’s preferred definition of antisemitism, branding the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) text verbose, imprecise, and “detached from the reality of common usage.”
According to a report from The Australian Financial Review, Justice Desmond Fagan made the sharp rebuke in a decision published on Tuesday, as reported by Janek Drevikovsky. Justice Fagan made the comments while dismissing a state bid to impose an extended terrorism order on 22-year-old Mohammed Farhat, who was jailed last year for spray-painting slogans like “F-- Israel” in Sydney.
Rejecting the government’s claim that the graffiti constituted antisemitism under the IHRA test, Fagan declared that the “apparent purpose of promoting” the framework was “to graft onto the community’s abhorrence of antisemitism … a parasitic rejection of protest against Israel.”
The judge firmly rejected efforts to conflate political opposition to the state of Israel with hatred toward Jewish people, pointing out that “disparagement of Israel is not antisemitic because the Jewish people, who as a whole are the object of antisemitism, are not coextensive with or in any sense equivalent to the state of Israel.”
Noting that Jewish people themselves have long been among the most vocal critics of Israeli state actions, Fagan asked, “How can it be antisemitic – in the established sense of the word – to disparage Israel when doing so accords with the words and beliefs of many Jews?”
He also defended open critique of Zionism as an ideology “open to political discussion and criticism, notably on grounds concerning the rights of the Palestinians,” emphasizing that those condemning state violence “have freedom to express their views” while supporters “have the right not to listen.”
❗️Georgia refuses to adopt latest EU sanctions against Iran citing strict national interests
Georgia has formally declined to adopt the latest wave of restrictive measures imposed by the European Union against Iran.
According to reports from the Georgian news agency Interpressnews, Tbilisi asserted that its foreign policy decisions and participation in international political initiatives are governed exclusively by domestic priorities rather than bloc alignment.
Tengiz Sharmanashvili, a leading member of parliament from the ruling Georgian Dream party, emphasized that the government evaluates every international resolution through a single criterion of whether it directly serves Georgian state interests at any given moment.
Sharmanashvili bluntly noted that if an external policy measure runs counter to those national objectives, authorities remain entirely indifferent to whose broader geopolitical agenda the measure otherwise supports.
Oh please let the accursed bloc dissolve.
— 🇺🇸/🇮🇷 Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf:
‘The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the U.S. naval blockade is lifted, our frozen assets are released, oil sanctions are removed, threats and military operations on all fronts end, and all terms of the Memorandum of Understanding are fulfilled.’
