At least 300 people have fallen ill after eating eggs contaminated with salmonella bacteria. The salmonella was found in eggs produced by the Laerco company in Geel (Antwerp Province). The eggs were recalled from shops on 10 August, but people may still have some at home. “Be sure to check the codes on any eggs you bought previously,” says the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC).

So people cant wash their eggs prior to cooking and hit 165°F (74°C). ITS THE FARMERS FAULT!

Also in Europe they don’t require washing eggs prior to hitting the store like in the US.

Another fun trick, put your eggs in water deep then their height. If they float don’t eat them, they are spoiled.

This was taught to us as kids, I guess not so much these days.
