But I don’t think this will carry the same purchase as disenfranchising blacks in the South in 1950s (turning a blue-collar white working base from Dem to Republican).

Michigan is different. There are wide areas with Muslim middle/upperclass semi integrated communities - so very interesting how this going to resonate across an intermingled population.

I wonder how much the white population in Michigan will “look at their feet” when this airs versus silently nod. I suspect more the former, but the US doesn’t cease to disappoint either.
