Held up by budgetary work, prime minister Bart De Wever will not be travelling to New York for the United Nations General Assembly debate. The Belgian delegation will be led by Foreign minister Maxime Prévot. However, his schedule, focused on the start of the “high-level week”, will not allow him to deliver Belgium’s speech, which, due to protocol, could only take place later in the week.
