i think you’re kind of thinking about it with monday’s paper. they were systematically hired by the west more than ripped apart. nato, nasa, cia, nazis were integrated into western society. and when hitler actually started invading other countries, a lot of european nations didn’t give a fuck about it. stalin tried to talk with britain and france before things escalated even further but they didn’t listen to him. so i’d say it’s a pretty much similar story, only that the nazis received a lot more hollywood films that make it look like a different story.
