A white member of Flemish Budget minister Ben Weyts’s (Flemish nationalist N-VA) cabinet recently submitted a fake opinion piece to several newsrooms, posing as “Mohammed, gay and Muslim”. The weekly magazine Knack uncovered the story. The staffer says it was a personal initiative to show that certain voices wouldn’t be heard in opinion sections.
