Almost one in three people in Flanders who lost their unemployment benefit in the first half of this year have since returned to work. This is according to figures released on Wednesday by Flemish minister for Employment Zuhal Demir. Since this year, unemployed workers can receive an allowance for only two years; people who were unemployed longer lost their benefit in recent months.
