Sorry to ask for help again, but I’ve got nowhere else to turn. As many of you may know I’m a thyroid cancer and stroke patient with very limited mobility. I can barely walk right now and the nearest bus stop is half a mile away. I rely on my landlady to drive me to medical appointments. My landlady took the car to the garage yesterday because it had developed steering problems. The mechanic says it needs new tyres. She’s been quoted £286.95 for the tyres, labour and wheel alignment.

I’m going through a disability benefit appeal and have no income, while she is on a pension and we are both in debt. I have very frequent medical appointments, with the endocrinologist for my thyroid cancer issues, the stroke clinic (had a stroke as a side effect of my cancer treatment), physiotherapist (for mobility problems caused by the stroke), neurologist and ophthalmologist (lost some vision due to the stroke). I also have shockwave therapy, a type of physiotherapy, coming up to try and improve my mobility.

Without the car, I’ve got no way of getting to these appointments. I’ve already just had to cancel an upcoming endocrinology appointment as there’s no way this will be fixed in time. Even if I was to use hospital transport, you still have to pay for that anyway, which I can’t afford. The longer this takes to resolve, the more appointments I will have to cancel. We also need the car for food shopping, collecting prescriptions and whatever else we need.

We are also having trouble paying for petrol, and need help with that. It takes about £55 to fill the tank, so I will make my aim the cost of the tyres + filling the tank twice = £400. If anyone is able to help with these things, my paypal is [email protected]

If you are able to, please write in the message box that it’s a gift so I can prove I haven’t been earning money (if I win my benefit appeal they will check my accounts and I am not supposed to be earning money).

I am really grateful for any help.
