    For my parents, it was Jewel Quest. I remember them spending most of their time at home playing that one game. It was ironic considering that my mom spent years warning us not to get addicted to videogames, lol.

      Those games are engineered to be highly addictive, like casino slot machines. If we could already see the effects 30 years ago… imagine the addiction level they possess today.

      Consider yourself lucky it was only Bejewelled; that they haven’t blown your entire inheritance on slot machines…[yet]

        Lucky for me, nobody in my family has ever developed an addiction to gambling. My parents have always known it’s a scam that only benefits the house, and they taught us as much.

        Unlucky for me, my inheritance is nonexistent anyway, because my family has always been quite poor and they’ve spent the vast majority of their life paying off the debts they’ve acquired to raise us :D
