The connection isn’t the thing being proven. The character is… And you can’t really deny that New Labour and the New Democrats are right leaning in their fiscal conservativism:

The New Democrats, often referred to as Moderate Democrats, are a center to center-left and liberal faction within the United States Democratic Party. They are seen as culturally liberal on social issues while being fiscally conservative on certain economic issues.[6] New Democrats dominated the party from the late 1980s through the early-2010s and continue to be a large coalition in the modern Democratic Party.[7][8][9]

New Labour was influenced by the political thinking of Anthony Crosland and the leadership of Blair and Brown as well as Peter Mandelson and Alastair Campbell’s media campaigning. The political philosophy of New Labour was influenced by the party’s development of Anthony Giddens’ Third Way which attempted to provide a synthesis between capitalism and socialism. The party emphasised the importance of social justice, rather than equality, emphasising the need for equal opportunity and believed in the use of markets to deliver economic efficiency and social justice.

Anyone alive during the 1990s saw the waves of privatizations being done by establishment left governments. So arguing that people shouldn’t believe their lying eyes isn’t a way out… there are countless examples.

To deny that is to play a game of historical revisionism. It’s not something you can just hand wave away.

Because they have a page specifically on conspiracy theories about UFOs?

…I often hear right wingers say you can’t trust Wikipedia. But again, I’m talking about the privatization and economic rationism in the establishment left which aligns it with fiscal conservativism and crony capitalism.

You seem to think this is a discussion about Wikipedia. It’s not.

Because you’re taking some dumb shit some random people happen to believe and accepting it as empirical knowledge, and then using it as a counter to something that actually IS empirical knowledge.

Just stop dude. Your wikislop isn’t factual information. It’s just public information.

So your stance is the Third Way movement just didn’t exist …and Blair, Clinton, Obama (what you call “some random people”) didn’t do any privatizations or economic rationalism.

Cool story bro, history says otherwise. Modern events say otherwise.

So you’re a historical revisionist huh?

No, my stance is- Wikipedia isn’t a source for what is true. Only a source for what is. They will have pages on a number of dumb fucking things. That doesn’t make it true.

And the type of person that tries to use wiki as a source to prove a factual point in an argument is a waste of time. You basically shared an article that states that some dumbasses in another country think a thing- and therefore it’s common knowledge.

              It’s fucking stupid.

You can just google “third way britain” and “third way new democrats”… like I’m pointing to general stores of knowledge because this is general political history.

Your only evidence is “trust me bro”. So you don’t really have a leg to stand on when it comes to your historical revisionism. It’s not a matter of “this has a wikipedia page therefore it’s false”… that’s just not an argument against basic historical and biographical information on the people I’ve mentioned.

[EDIT: Imagine blocking someone because you can’t face basic history, and think it’s a deception created by Wikipedia.]

Seriously… the person using Wikipedia articles about shit people in other countries say as evidence of a thing- is accusing me of the “trust me bro” mentality

                  Yeah. Welcome to the blocklist.

These movements weren’t just “in some other country” and aren’t just spoken about on Wikipedia this shift occurred across the west. But sure, runaway and hide. It makes sense that you’d have to hide from this.
