In a powerful message posted on Instagram, the Iranian filmmaker appealed for an end to the conflict between his country and Israel. While urging for an international trial against the Jewish state, Panahi also called for the fall of the Tehran regime.
Not many would lament the passing of the ayatollah regime. But, interesting question, who should replace them, especially during a time of upheaval?
I’m sure there are very qualified people around, as Iran is a highly educated and cultured society. But would they be the ones to grab power? Or will we see an Iraq-like civil war? Wiping out the old regime is easy, maintaining stability a lot less.
