Hopefully, as US influence wanes, relations between the DPRK and ROK can move in a positive direction. Korea is one nation with two governments. One people. President Lee Jae-Myung seems to be interested in boosting ties with the DPRK and PRC, and being less reliant on the US and Japan, so this genuinely seems like a positive shift after President Yoon’s impeachment.
I hope to one day see the resurgance of the PRK (1945-1946), one unified country over all of Korea.
I am suddenly reminded of an ad for a restaurant in some local city that was something along the lines of: “come sample the taste of the USSR which, unlike their inspirations, actually exist!” Communism is when no food, huh?
I saw a french documentary where they sent this guy to Italy so he could learn how to make the good pizza and brought experts in to check.
It looked like some good ass Italian pizza. Too bad the frenchies were too busy pretending to care about peasants in the countryside to actually be normal and enjoy it. The one woman whose father was born the north was the most normal one, she actually enjoyed her time being there and didn’t pretend to wax poetic about poverty.
It is really funny that liberals expect me to believe their genuine concern for the peasant class of Korea when their entire lives are subsidized by the Global South via imperialism.
