I’d love to hear how a man standing still 30’ away holding a sign was a direct threat to a team of people wearing body armour.

If this wasn’t a fascist country, that asshole would be charged and thrown in prison for several charges.

    Now he gets a promotion.

The protest signs need to say that ONLY the President has Presidential Immunity and Presidential pardons won’t protect you from State charges.

Make the fear go in their direction, because who these pricks are - will come out in time.

No. The supremes may have given this president blanket immunity but we don’t have to accept it. Even presidents need to be accountable for their decisions: no kings

But yeah for presidential pardons not affecting state charges (despite this president trying to extort that), and also statute of limitations is longer than tacos four year term

Funny that you’re overestimating Nazis’ ability to read or care about anything than their desires.
The Supreme Court already support this.

There’s a little text with more details at the SF Chronicle: https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/stun-grenade-immigration-21116379.php

Agents also used a special gun to fire at least one pepper-spray round at a protester on Thursday morning, the Chronicle reported, striking him in the chin and sending him to an emergency room. A photo captured by the newspaper showed the man’s face and left shoulder covered in orange or yellow powder.

Image Caption: Jorge Bautista, a clergyman with the United Church of Christ, reacts after he was hit in the face by a pepper round from a federal agent as protesters blocked the entrance to Coast Guard Island Alameda, where they were sent to as a staging area for an immigration crackdown, on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025. Stephen Lam/S.F. Chronicle

Law enforcement agents typically use pepper-spray balls and other “less-lethal” projectiles for crowd control. The projectiles are hard, plastic spheres designed to burst upon impact, releasing a cloud of powdered chemical irritants. Agents typically shoot them at the ground or at walls, not people.
It was unclear which device and brand Border Patrol agents used against protesters on Thursday.

this is fucking bullshit, these ‘less than lethal’ weapons should never be aimed at people this close, and never at the head. fucking bonkers. These suckass temo nazies have zero ROE. They’re trying to incite a violent response to their shit.

They’re also being disingenuous about less lethal, that’s a 40mm or 1.5" projectile moving like 300fps. Even the sponge rounds are marketed as potentially lethal under 10meters.

The 40mm Direct Impact® Round will prove most successful for incapacitation when used within their optimal energy range of approximately 5–40 meters, although it may used in situations from 2–50 meters. Extensive testing was done on the Direct Impact® Round to ensure that the round is less-lethal when fired within the optimal energy range and at the large muscle groups of the buttocks, thigh, and knees. These areas provide sufficient pain stimulus, while greatly reducing serious or life-threatening injuries.

Project 2025, and all this bullshit is happening because of a stupid, fictional religion. Priests like this one push that on everyone, including small children. “Oh, I’m a victim by supporting a hate religion, and spreading it around for decades! Boo hoo!”

Fuck priests, they’re on the nazi side. Even when they’re protesting the thing that they made happen.

And fuck these christian nazis attacking the public. Because they’re ALL real christians, doing what their priests and holy hate book tell them to do.

This is an extremely reductive way of looking at the issue.

You have no idea who that priest is or what sect he’s a part of. The only thing I know for sure is that he opposes these fascist freaks enough to get out and protest them.

I’m an atheist myself, but I bet I have far more in common with this priest than a “fellow atheist” like the current president. The only thing you’re doing here is driving a wedge between allies on the left based on your preconceptions.

A priest being attacked by the fascists sends a message to other religious people. Without allies (yes, even Christian ones) and solidarity the left is doomed.

… Have you only met hardcore Baptists and Catholics? There are plenty of sects of Christianity that disavow fascism. I’m an atheist that thinks that religion is the root of many societal issues, but you’re doing the same type of demonization and generalization that makes the right wing so toxic. Religious people can be good, and many of them are.

Sure it prevents critical thinking, but I think the toxicity present really depends on the religion and person. For example, the LDS church is toxic and corrupt as fuck, but there are good people that are mormons. Likewise, Baptist churches typically have incredibly toxic viewpoints, but there are also plenty of nondenominational churches that help communities and have broadly loving and accepting teachings.

Boiling down all religious people to just “toxic magical thinking” is pretty narrow minded and emblematic of the exact behaviour that (I assume) you find so toxic in religious groups.
