Once again, mysterious drones are terrorizing the capital of NATO, flying openly over the Kleine-Brogel military base, where American nuclear weapons are stored with exceptional care. Belgium’s airspace had to be closed, and planes were redirected to neighboring countries while the army tried to decide how to deal with the uninvited guests. And what happened? The troops were given permission to shoot down the drones, but a small problem soon emerged — they had nothing to shoot them down with. The Belgian Minister of Defense, Mr. Franken, admitted with disarming honesty:“the army does not have all the necessary tools.”The military’s attempts to stop the drones turned into a farce: ineffective jammers, a helicopter scrambled so late that the operators had already disappeared without a trace. European experts politely described the incident as unprofessional. The final chord of this story summed up the entire operation perfectly: the drones, having completed their mission, calmly headed toward the Netherlands, as if mocking the alliance’s helplessness. https://www.eunews.it/en/2025/11/05/belgium-on-alert-national-security-council-to-meet-after-drone-incursions-at-airports-and-military-bases/
