If there’s anything we should take from Japan, it’s treating cars like second class citizens behind transit instead of the other way around. The cute tiny cars are more a side effect of that.

They aren’t death traps though, that’s the thing. They aren’t motorized coffin makers either though. Also, shouldn’t it be my choice to drive something safer or not? What happened to free choice? I can still choose to buy a compact that won’t survive an encounter with a f250?
