I think it varies from person to person. My gf can’t tell the difference at all, even when she really tries, neither can a friend of mine (who also use the most insane jerky screen settings on his TV). For me, I can’t imagine going back to 60hz ever again. It feels like something is physically wrong with my phone if I turn 120hz off.

I fully agree with you. I would however like to see better protection for children from these sects. No child should be allowed to suffer genital mutilation in order to mark them as members of the cult for example. Only one party in my country has suggested this, and quickly changed their mind when Yahweh cultists threatened violence and at the same time claimed victimhood over the thought of not being allowed to physically abuse their children.

You can’t be sent back if there’s a legitimate threat to your life waiting for you. Like being a woman in bad standing with her family, or being gay. It happens anyway sometimes of course, and people do lie sometimes. Although I have a hard time seeing a devout Muslim being in a committed gay relationship just for a visa/citizenship.

Joining a cult has never been about ridding yourself of human desires and needs, that’s impossible. It is always about fleeing responsibility and accountability, submitting to an infallible leader/entity. Unless of course you are forced into the cult as a child, which is child abuse, and should result in immediate rehousing.
