Republicans will control the supreme court for the next 20 years. We will see couple of resignations soon so they can appoint younger, crazier judges. Hopefully progressive democrats will be able to stop the slide towards dictatorship but I don’t except any swinging back.
A lot of people do it for dental care and plastic surgeries already. It’s exactly the same with everything else. People here don’t seem to realize you have private healthcare in Europe where you can just pay for the visit. The problem is that you also have to pay for the stay. I will give you two examples. Wisdom tooth extraction costs around 300 euros in Spain vs $500 in US. Doesn’t make sense to fly to Spain to do it. Tooth implant costs around 1000 euros in Spain vs $3500 in US. Now paying for a single flight would make sense but tooth implant requires multiple visits spanning around 3 months. If you have to fly twice or stay in Spain for 3 months it doesn’t make sense.
But if you’re already going to Europe and want to fix your tooth while you’re here you can totally do it. A lot of people that live in US but have family in Europe do it.
Are they going to invalidate the vote due to procedural errors?
Is it really that simple? I once was stack in customer service hell with my internet provider where they weren’t able to connect me but didn’t want to cancel my service. I canceled the contract, they charged me some cancellation fees, I refused to pay, they sold my debt to a collector who was not able to collect anything but threatened that they will put me in some registry. Couple years later I was taking a mortgage and I asked in the bank if being in some registry could be an issue and they said that no, they don’t care about unpaid $200 debt. With a generic credit score that’s different. The bank will see a low score and might not care how did you get it. That gives leverage to debt collectors and shitty companies.
Do you do rare but big donations or small ones spread over lots of causes?
Subscribing for regular donation is much better for the project because it helps them plan long tern.
I read they didn’t knew if it’s going to work or not. They still don’t know if it worked. Trump says it worked because he’s Trump.
Where I live older cars can’t enter the city center. In a couple of years the ban will be expanded to all ICE cars. Many other cities are introducing same rules. This fight is pointless. Even if EU will not ban all ICE cars local jurisdiction will still fight them. On top of that last ICE cars manufactured in 2035 will still be on the roads until, what?, 2050? Those companies are basically lobbying for the right to complete against cheap electric cars from China with big batteries and fast charging. Good luck with that.
A lot of knee-jerk reactions here so to provide some context:
The government will not do it because they are simply unable to. They were barely able to reach 3%. The ruling party and the PM do want to increase the spending but their minor, far-left coalition partner is against it. They would rather spend the money on social programs. The far-left party even voted to exit NATO altogether. They are simply not serious people. The PM finally managed to increase spending to 3% by using executive orders. They simply don’t have a path to pass a new budget and increase the spending to 5%. So yeah, it’s not the ruling party that’s shortsighted, it’s their progressive coalition partner who is against any spending on the military.
You have to be special kind of a scumbag to intentionally bomb hospitals full of innocent people.
Iran is also bad.
They signed up to be beta testers. They found bugs. Why would they sue Tesla?
I like your optimism.
