Zoom down to a niche or the local level. E.g., following news about mountain biking or the latest on your city council can fill the same desire that you currently try to do by following up on the senate.
There will be intersections with federal, but much less toxic.

Some isp’s or routers will block certain sites. E.g., I had a manga piracy site that I used to view [old manga in the public domain]. All of a sudden it’s blocked. I take my device to a different house and all of a sudden it works.

So in the 90s we had news over sensationalize crime and we thought our cities were all unsafe. Moms kept their kids inside. Now in the 10s and 20s we have the news sensationalizing politics and we think we are under fascists or communists when the real problem is the corpos nobody is talking about.

Post what programs you use most

The structure of the hearings is designed for soundbites.

Each rep or senator gets x minutes, and then it switches to the other party.

For a hostile senator, the panelist is incentivized to waste as much time as possible. Qualify every statement, have drawn out answers, try not to outright lie but get as close as you can to get by the question.

The splitting between parties means there’s no coordination among the senators. Each one asks the same questions. There’s no followup on bad answers. Each rep wants the soundbites for their YouTube channel.

It’s really bad for oversight or actually doing any governing.

For her, a quota might be how she relates to the world. I think the important parts are that you are telling her how much time you need and what types of together time, and that she is making time for you.
That might not be a permanent way of things. But it’s how she might need it structured initially until you have a routine.
I think the important questions are: are you having fun? And do you see a future?
If she is making you a part of her life, and hearing you out and trying to respond to your concerns, those are good signs for the latter.

People operate at a certain standard. Social connections / mess tolerance / chaos in their life are some examples.
When they haven’t reached their quota, they will adjust their life until their quota is met. I would expect this person to continue operating in the way that they have been. It’s totally reasonable to state your expectations on how much time minimum you need to continue the relationship. Then, if they don’t fulfill that, that’s on them.
