We need to broadcast to the world that visiting the USA for the game is unsafe. Make it EXTREMELY clear that people should not come here. Show videos and pictures of ICE agents detaining people. Broadcast stories of legal immigrants being detained. I don’t have the heart to source the videos and articles now, but I think this is a spot where FIFA and MAGA could both be burned.

Major events like the World Cup are desired specifically as a source of international tourism; and without those tourists, they’re just a major financial hit.

I absolutely do not. I’m focused on one in-road to AI usage. My mind has been gravitating toward schools as they are run according to local government boards that people can reasonably challenge and get a seat on, and to whom the representatives are much more accountable and much easier to persuade.

It’s a lot more difficult to stop, say, a corporate middle manager from pushing AI on their employees. Though, to that point, employees can leave jobs, where students have much less agency over what the school curriculum is, and could be coerced into AI dependency by that school authority (which I have heard happening). Child and young adult brains are also far more malleable, and I fear AI dependency would have a worse, perhaps irreversible, effect.

Perhaps they will. You will always have bad actors. My suggestions are really more focused on the messaging those kids get from schools.

I have heard that many students have gotten assignments on which one of the requirements is to use Text/Image generation, or for which they are a suggested tool. Stopping students from being encouraged to use AI is far more important (and far easier) than stopping every kid from cheating on assignments with it.

No, please don’t do any of that?!? What is it with this push to isolate children from all resources online?!? Were none of you a kid on the internet? Why are we damning the ostracized and struggling children?

Please consider the LGBTQ+ kids, neurodiverse kids, kids growing up in regressive households, child abuse survivors, lonely children, and all of the utility that computers decide. Isolating kids from “not approved” voices is a key dream of the Heritage Foundation and the other think-tanks of big tech, corporations, and Christo-fascism.

No Clue how anyone can support letting the US government of propaganda, queer erasure, burying unpleasant history;have MORE control over kids. They’re already putting PragerU propaganda in schools. Let’s not close off another source of information.

I am once again asking you to petition your local school boards to block generative AI usage by students and teachers alike. AI is being pushed on these kids at a young age, and I feel with the downward-trending attention span of Gen Alpha and Gen Z, that will form into a lifelong dependency. Plus, the loss of the licenses from the school system will be a significant dent in the AI metrics.

Here are some demands: block ChatGPT/Gemini/Copilot/DeepSeek on school networks (like porn and gaming sites are blocked); prohibit use of AI-generated images and text on assignments and teaching materials; ensure no assignments will require or recommend the use of AI output at any point.

These suggestions are based on reports I’ve heard from students. Please feel free to comment your own recommendations or information.

I wouldn’t worry much about this. I say we wait until she actually steps up to the primary, and then we collectively smear her until she steps down, or ends up with the results she had in the 2020 primary.

I don’t think one can phrase it better than this. Propaganda, gaslighting, manipulation, and yelling so loud about how holy we all are that any criticism is drowned out. A nation in psychosis.

I hope this strike happens. Just from seeing FIFA catering to Trump, alone, I want their event to fail. I know the strike won’t entirely do that, but it could help.

I don’t disagree with your interpretation, but the problem with this mentality is everything you’ve suggested Trump is trying to incite is everything that could be done to resist his power. I worry that people who read this take walk away with the idea that the nation needs to focus on the ceiling scuff marks and choke back our bile, as opposed to fighting back against the rapists; which is Not the message I want people to have in their head.

Remember when all the “Never Trump” Republicans broke rank and joined Democrats to certify the election results in 2021? People forget about the MAGA Republican insurrection attempt, maybe because it was right before the MAGA Chud insurrection attempt.

Reagan’s political speech strawman of the black woman “welfare queen” was so memorable, it became a caricature of black women and black single mothers. Most people who recognize that stereotype have never listened to a word of Reagan’s speeches. For his campaign and the ones before and after, the Republican Party launched ads showing a black man’s mugshot and telling a tale of how this black man was let out due to Democrat rehabilitative prison policy, then went on to kill/rape white people.

The entire War on Drugs was a way to harass and suppress Civil Rights protestors (accused of storing heroin) and the anti-Vietnam War movement (for marijuana).

The Bush dynasty’s core policy was ripping aid from USAmericans in need and using it to terrorize the Middle East; and to strip privacy away from folks in the USA… oh and terrorizing people of color.

And let’s not forget the original Conservative insurrection in the USA - the Confederacy, who broke ranks over fears they might one day not be able to enslave black people. Did Trump Kill Conservatism? No more than a house is killed when its moldy ceiling crashes in on its rotten floor.

I think sometimes in an effort to mock MAGA, we may over-legitimize doctors. They’re just people, just like us, and there is a looooong history of medical malpractice and systemic abuse—much by the same forces MAGA is allied with.

The autism “excuse” for Musk’s actions is insane because 1) whatever the condition, our leaders shouldn’t be acting like this; and 2) this has nothing to do with symptoms of autism. Okay, some autistic people are repulsed by some foods or sensory stimulation; default to “safe foods” they are comfortable with… and so autistic people wouldn’t go to a sushi restaurant if they don’t like sushi. Like… clearly Saxon is not too high-needs as to be unable to reason. He is a businessman.

I figured Saxon was the kid Musk had on his shoulders in the White House so my first response was a defensive “don’t berate the kid, he’s only copying his parents-” Then I looked up Saxon Musk. He’s 20 years old. 20; but you’d never guess it from this description of his actions.

USAmerica - you are going to have a population of fundamentally broken people after this. High schoolers watched their friends disappear. Children in daycare saw their teachers dragged out. Relatives and neighbors were dragged out of their homes. Stores were raided. People are dead; And lives will forever be changed.

This chaos creates trauma, resentment, distrust, hatred. Because in the end – we let it happen. The people of this nation let this terror happen. We let tens of thousands be massacred. We let our stores and community homes be raided.

And it was done through our core infrastructure. The people were trafficked through federal agencies. Our three branches of government worked together to make this happen. Our corporations and their technology let this happen. Google. Amazon. Microsoft. Apple. They all have had a role. Our neighbors voted for this, cheered for this.

If the next candidate—be it Democrat or Republican—wants to close the book on all this and broadcast platitudes of Democracy and Compassion… whatever candidate(s) those are, I hope they fail.
