It looks as dimensionally challenged as his face, so it’s probably for the best
Any other reason, then they’re policies sucking

Agreed, at this point, they’re capitalising as much as they can off of their reputation.

Consumers had all the power… that is, until they started voting with their wallet by buying appliances that could connect to the internet (or that had a screen installed on them).
Once manufacturs saw that their bs was selling, we’d lost the battle.

The moment they do that, I’m bailing.
I’ve seen the writing on the wall for a long time, even if not this outcome exactly, that Spotify will only keep tightening its profit driven screws whilst loosening paying customers QOL experience.
Therefore, I’ve been slowly building up a vinyl collection over the past 15 months or so.
By the time this deadline comes around, I’ll have more than enough physical media to give a shit about what Spotify’s doing anymore.
I’ve also got a reasonably extensive library of flac/VBR .mp3’s.
The only reason I’m subscribed, is to find new artists/bands that I like. Then I purchase physical media of their work.
Due to a lot of them being internationally based, I rarely purchase through bandcamp, because their shipping costs internationally are ridiculous.

Ah, the gift that keeps on giving

This may be so, but personally, I’d rather loose the $ value in the fridge, once, due to a compressor failure than to have the data of how I interact with it and bloody advertising thrust into my face, over the span of its working life.
A little pain later is worth so much more than 10 years or so of annoyance.

Don’t be lazy, enlightenment is more than half the battle, done for you.

As an outsider watching from afar, I’m very happy for everyone who wanted this outcome, the majority have had a hard slog for the past 2 years in particular.
Hopefully this is the start of the turning point where the average American has had a fire reawaken within them, to push harder for a genuinely better Amercia, beyond casting their vote; a complete contrast to the puke pizza that everyone’s been witnessing since its first term.

Honestly, her stunt is what epitomises America in my eyes (and I wish it wasn’t so). So many wonderful things have come out of America, things that have made my life more liveable, such as a huge amount of wonderful music and movies.
If she cared that much about the homeless, she’d have donated a decent sum of money or perhaps even more of impact would’ve come from volunteering at a soup kitchen for a week or even two perhaps.
The clipboard is merely the icing on the gag, it’s so on the nose.

Yes, even if not logged into Google (and logged out of Reddit), it will still give Reddit tread responses if I mention a topic and then type Reddit.
Running a android OS on a 6 year old 5g phone, could be the reason. Perhaps a current model phone wouldn’t 🤷♂️

I’m really sorry, too used to dealing with shitheads on Reddit that only want to offend with passive-aggressive responses, I’m only a recent addition to the Lemmy-sphere, please forgive.
I misunderstood your tone; it’s sad that one should have to “hope” for such a thing now!

If I type any subject into Google, followed by the word Reddit, I still get Reddit threads in response.

Absolutely, it’ll go without saying, even if denied. Anyone would have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.

Like it or not, I perceive this to be the future; shitty/scary times ahead for us all in these new hardware-scarcity times.

Good, that was my favourite part.

Having to pay more, for a product stripped of features (which is the good part), really is quite laughable.
