“Employees should report to work for their next regularly scheduled tour of duty to undertake orderly shutdown activities”
US glorifies their armed forces so much that they even try to describe “a normal day at work” as a “tour of duty”. Don’t be fucking dumb. It’s important work, absolutely, but describing it in military terms is doing a disservice to everyone. A 9-5 office job doing logistics is not the same as 3 months in a sub. Both equally important as without the logistics, the sub ain’t going anywhere, but don’t describe both as a “tour of duty”.
Edit: formatting

Shutdown 2: electoral boogerpoo

Starbucks is shit, it has always been shit, it will always forever be shit.
There’s a reason it failed in Australia. There’s a reason it only exists still in Australia and that’s only to cater to tourists who don’t like coffee but like coffee-flayoured milk bevetages - you’ll never find Australians in there except maybe if working and forced to make shit drinks. Literally everywhere else is better, including fast food places.
I’ll give it some credit as a “third place” but literally every other coffee shop is too and they serve actual coffee.

Fair call, maybe a heavy crop without circles or arrows would have solved the problem?

Does this help?
Can still use “Pedo King” and “Pedo Island Guy” (or PIG)
All it’s gonna do is make people talk weird. Mark my words, still a problem @yakko@feddit.uk you mean like this?

Hope you can see it

Was tempted to post to both

Would it even reach their teeth?

Trump being corrupt is just another day in the Orange Republic

So…if you’re just using web stuff, you could probably save a heap by using a Chromebook. That’s what my wife’s personal laptop is and is perfect for web stuff (and has the option of Android apps too, like Mozilla). It’s not her only computer though.

Accusation is an admission, same as always

That is how case law works, yes.

No, I’d rather use my device like I want to use my device instead of how I’m told to use it. I don’t need to sideload on this device but glad I can if and when I want to. I prefer having a computer with me rather than a purposely stunted device kept that way to sell other devices in the ecosystem.

Honestly I wouldn’t touch Apple products with a bargepole. I dislike closed ecosystems

Hope the bee survived
Stroked many a roo, wallaby and other macropods and they’re not soft everywhere. More interesting is that there’s no real give to their softness. They’re solid muscle below the skin so you don’t really want to poke them too hard. Does depend on the species too though - I ain’t touching a red. A quokka and bettong are quite pliable and have that give when you stroke them, like a cat.
Domestic cat that is. When I stroked a cheetah it was all muscle and smooth but not soft, more like a deer
Like an eagle ray
“Girl” or maybe “young woman” as an alternative option.
