Mainly the same criticism of famous social media influencers who are not qualified or experts in the thing they are doing. Being passionate about something doesnt make everything you do the right thing. All that said, I don’t agree that should cause hate, but criticism or opposing opinions were fair in this situation when it comes down to animal welfare.

Its a problem of scale I think. Smaller communities are closer and tougher, its easier to manipulate larger groups of people who are farther away.

Growing up with the internet I have always felt the opposite. If you think or feel something, millions of others have too.

Some Communities are still controlled by people with absurd egos and overconfidence. Most of them hate people too, which is fun for a community manager.

I think it mirrors real life though, the type of people who want to be leaders tend to be assholes, and the ones who would be good at leading won’t volunteer to do it.
