I get that… but is it necessary to post this kind of news in a community about „buying local“ in a broader sense? There are so many other communities about news and I feel this one turns into one as well.

What does this have to do with buying european stuff?

I already personally blocked one of Sunshines accounts in the past since the user, in my opinion, spams news everywhere and kind of makes this community less useful. I am absolutely with you here. For me this community is more about consumer goods and not military spend or other billion euro purchases of countries.

The chart only shows products/services. They are offered by companies and may use various models.

BTW: Reducing or removing VAT will rarely if ever benefit the consumer. Companies try to price close to the price you are willing to pay. So if you are used to pay a price with VAT included you will probably pay the same price without VAT.

To me it is like spam. I came here to get away from reddit not to use it as a proxy for reddit.

I don‘t get why posts on lemmy about what got posted on reddit are needed.
