    Depends on where it’s located.

In some areas with very active fire suppression, they allowed massive buildup of material to burn. This is what happened to Yellowstone and a bunch of national forest around the west and into Canada.

In other areas drought is causing more frequent and hotter burns. This is what is is happening in the Southwest now with the mega-drought.

  • Mormonism and women is pretty toxic. The list could go on for pages but here’s a few doozies. I grew up in the cult and escaped after seeing all the bullshit when I was 20 years old.

Since sex outside of marriage is a sin equal to murder… Short courtships and young marriages are highly encouraged. 18-22 is a very common age to marry for girls. It’s also common for people to marry after only knowing each other for 6-10 weeks.

Waiting to have kids is strongly discouraged snd babies often arrive 9 months or so after marriage.

Men are the authority figure in the home and women are expect to obey them.

Men are often are assigned unpaid jobs in the church that take over 20+ hours per week leaving the women to take care of everything in the home and kids alone.

Women working is discouraged but culturally okay as long as they feel extra guilty for it.

Women who stay home and pop out half a dozen kids or more are constantly praised.

Mormonism has a massive list of useless tasks that women are supposed to accomplish. They are constantly guilted for not accomplishing them all.

They also have to wear ugly ass special underwear. Seriously it’s ugly, look it up.

  • I try to explain it people really carefully.

First ask them “what makes a country wealthy”. The idiots always reply with “it’s having lots of money”.

Me. “Money is just numbers or pieces of paper that governments say is worth something. Real wealth is having the use of and control of resources. Resources are things like goods, labor, materials, production facilities, etc. So in trade if one country gets more money and other country gets more resources, the one receiving more resources wins.”

I usually lose them at the first sentence, they are after all idiots.

  • I honestly doubt it they would even look at a smaller vehicle now. Most of the people I run into vastly overestimate their needs in a vehicle. They get a diesel 3/4 ton to tow their 4000lb boat because they “need” the towing capacity to do it. They would not believe that if they got the right model the Maverick, it could easily handle their needs.

I get an insane amount of comments about my work setup when I am fully loaded. “You need a bigger truck.” No I fucking don’t. It’s a F150 with a 16’ 10K trailer. The truck’s legal towing max is 10,200lbs. It’s engine is rated for 13,000lbs. Since I am using it for commercial use I have a maximum towing of 10,000lbs. Any more would require a DOT registration and pay fees crossing state borders etc. It’s a well balanced setup that I do around 100 deliveries with per year.

I could go up to a larger setup but the cost/benefit analysis doesn’t add up. I would save approximately 5 trips per year (around 20 hours) having a larger capacity but it would cost me $15K more per year in expenses for a 3/4 ton diesel truck and 17K trailer.

  • There are three separate biovars of blubonic plague. Each of them are associated with a historical major pandemic with high numbers of casualties: Antiqua, Medievalis, and Orientalist.

The pathogen also infects more than 200 species of animals including sheep and domestic cats.

Although fleas are the most famous vector it can also be transmitted by ticks, lice, and direct pneumonic transmission (droplet transmission of >2m). It’s theorized that the majority of plague victims in 14th century contracted the disease from pneumonic transmission.

Plague has mutated and wiped out huge amounts of the population 3 times already in history. It will likely do it again.

  • The cause is 100% the orange morons tariffs on this one.

Beef prices are cyclical. This is because beef producers have a lag time between price increases and their ability to increase their herds (2-3 years).

Historically when beef prices go up, domestic producers sell down their herds to capitalize on the higher pricing. Then imports increase to meet the demand and prices slump. It’s usually only a year or two of high prices and 7-8 years of low prices. Producers are conditioned to sell down their herds when prices are high then slowly rebuild them when prices are low.

    Enter the orange moron:

Prices were at a normal cyclical high when he started throwing his tantrum and shitting in his diaper. With all the tariffs, producers in other countries decreased their stocking levels… So prices are soaring.

Demand has remained stable because the largest market is fast food chains. Guess who has spent the past 5 years jacking up prices and making record corporate profits?

    Now for more bad news.

Hay prices are beyond depressed. With the decrease in herd size this is normal as supply increases. Again the export market usually absorbs the supply readily with the cheaper pricing. Then as beef prices fall, hay prices climb as producers rebuild their herds. Except the orange moron stepped in and killed the export market. So prices are very low, and supply is very high. We are talking high enough that there will be a shit ton of “mysterious” hay stack fires this fall for insurance claims.

Beef producers and hay producers are often the same operation. Since hay is worthless right now they can not build up their herds and have to keep selling animals to make ends meet.

So the prices at the store are only going to climb higher. Meanwhile the producers are stuck facing diminishing returns as their herd size decreases.

In summary, beans are looking pretty affordable right now.
