  • Yeah there’s too much stuff to restore.

Every time anyone wants to do anything new in my city, there’s a choir of old people moaning about the removal of old stuff.

Seriously… if they want to keep that shit, put it in a museum. We don’t need your old railways in the center of the city for memorials. We don’t use them. You don’t use them. They haven’t been used for 70 years. The same kind of shit is present in each and every city throughout Europe. It has no preservation value. We can remember your great grand uncle’s achievement in other ways. Take a photo and look at it as fondly as much as you want.

It’s apparently wildly surprising that humans were all over Europe thousands of years ago. Come on. They had feet, of course they shat in the shrubbery where we live. We do not have to preserve all of it.

I surely don’t hope future generations dig out the shit I’ve posted online.

When they invented LIDAR scanning and flew over Germany, they found a lot of old stuff in the dense forests that had never even been investigated. It was silently decided not to even attempt to dig all that shit out. Good call Germany. We don’t need any more stone axeheads in the museum. They’re not that different, and I don’t care if you can trace your lineage to the man who made it. We’re not keeping that rock.

People should have a right to be forgotten.

Ötzi never asked to be dug up. People made stories about how he died of cold. Other people say it was sacrificial. The latest I’ve read was that he a tumor in the ass.

Have some decency. Leave that shit alone. The wearing of time is prettier than restoration anyway. It’s a solid reminder. Restoration of artifacts is like botox to a 70 years old… you’re gonna look like shit either way.

  • Disclaimer: Put on a tinfoil hat.

The only reason this is all over the news is unfortunately not because it’s a despicable crime. Which it is.

However. The story is that: She turned herself in. They were intoxicated by alcohol. She’s hot for 40 year old. She’s “independent, blablabla. both sides”.

    No, no, no!

The media is showing this because they want to normalize rape.

There’s something a lot worse that never make the news.

Maybe it’s the drug epidemic, causing this shit to happen on daily basis in the southern states. Maybe it’s people of importance who don’t turn themselves in. Maybe it’s not the alcohol or libido at all.Maybe it’s the …

Maybe it’s in the Epstein files.

  • I had to mention both, because I like them for different reasons.

Initially I didn’t even like Vice City, because it was just an epigon of GTA3 with more lens flare, but the story and not least the music won me over. I know it’s a blatant mockery of Scarface, but that’s what makes it so great and funny.

San Andreas is probably the masterpiece of them all. Maybe it got a little too serious in comparison to previous games, but it managed to portrait a great feeling of freedom and doing whatever in-between the main missions.

GTA V is more like: Follow the arrow through this generic oversized map.

  • The issue is that we’re trying to put everyone on a linear scale, but the actual shapes of people have more dimensions. This is done because clothes are produced in advance, to be presented for sale in stores. With more people ordering online, it could be solved by on demand production/tailoring.

This would also solve the issues with excessive production, which is a massive problem for the industry. From this year it’s no longer legal for the largest manufacturers in EU to destroy unsold clothes. It will result in clothes costing more, but perhaps it should. It’s currently too cheap. The single use and discard fast fashion needs to go.

  • The great thing about representative democracy is that idiots don’t actually vote for anything. They only vote for whom to represent them.

I’ll admit, I’m somewhat of an ignorant idiot myself. I haven’t read nor understood the entirety of all laws. That’s why I choose someone else to represent me.

I think it’s only fair that mentally handicapped people are also allowed to choose someone to speak their case.

The problem in US isn’t the idiots. It’s the two party system. In countries with multiple parties, truly idiotic votes would be scattered randomly all over different parties, or they would be placed on the party that represents idiots the best.

That doesn’t work in US, because you actually only have one political party and then the opposition. It’s really easy for an opposition to trick idiots into voting against everything.
