  • lets just say there is more Lenin than Tom Clancy in my bookshelves

    I always ask every person who is in the habit of reading if their tastes moved more towards “non-fiction” (as an umbrella term for anything that is not fiction) as they got older, because I definitely feel the same.

    It is a bit difficult to find the time to read more demanding fiction, even the stuff I’d like to read, but I feel like I always make the time for reading theory or other technical subjects that interest me.

    I almost feel as if this is somehow capitulating to capitalism in a way, since this type of literature feels like it is “more useful” than straight fiction.

    Thoughts on this, comrades?
