dumnezero@piefed.socialto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•How car manufacturers killed small and efficient city cars in favor of high-margin SUVs in EuropeEnglish4·12 days agoRemember, this is a policy at all levels. The governments love big car exports because it’s a lot of money, but the auto worker unions also love this.
It’s a similar dynamic to housing like flats/apartments all being oriented towards luxury standards that are unaffordable and drive up the prices. Society is allowing these corporations to try to get the maximum profits at the cost of society and the environment.
This can be easily reversed by taxing them heavily. Make them unprofitable.
edit: I disagree with the video’s implications that everyone should own a car. Fuck cars. If they become a (obvious) luxury, they should definitely be removed from urban areas and not be subsidized in any way. Let them play with their luxury cars on private race tracks.

I’m also not giving up on wireless. I’d rather have an only bluetooth (slow?) mouse than a wired one.

Try to get one of these LLMs to update a package.json.
Worked for me, but this needs a lot of development to be a useful tool for analysis, and maybe a browser extension.
hmmm…
I already have plans.
