I just wanted to know that your last statement brought me a bit of comfort today, thank you. I’ve been feeling a bit isolated here, since, well, ever, but was never able to make it out yet :/ I’m not that rural, but anywhere outside of Milwaukee or Madison is pretty bleak.

Haha, well you made it farther than I did, I too liked computers growing up but even though I went and got my A+, Network+, MCSA and all that years and years ago, and then went back to school and got an associates in web development, and then didn’t do anything with that either. OOF. Well good news is now I know why I wasn’t allowing myself to succeed back then, bad news is it’s way too late now for any of that with AI poising to take over everything. I’m kind of glad I didn’t now, kind of, if it wasn’t for the fact I’d actually be financially stable now if I did lol. But life is a journey. I’m actually a bit of a luddite now despite my very early adoption of computers, internet, etc haha. Funny how that works out. Grill sounds great, I love cooking out doors as well, it’s just invigorating :)

AH yeah, I had an older account but I deleted it because I couldn’t resist the urge to make negative comments about the state of things all the time and I’m trying to be more positive so I made a new one. Yeah it’s a bit slow at times but that is kind of refreshing not have to keep up with an endless barrage of stuff ya know.

Yes I enjoy it here so far, there’s a few hotheads but I guess that can’t be avoided anywhere. People seem genuinely interesting and interested in cool stuff, so it’s really my jam. All that stuff is just so beyond my, interest I guess. I love doing things with computers, making art, editing photos, games, I can make some simple web pages and put them on a host, etc. Fun stuff. Now it’s all… I dunno lol. I never got into phone apps to begin with so I think I was lost from the start. I like computing on a full computer. Honestly any algorithm besides chronological sort is junk to me, like you said it can all be gamed so it’s just all so dumb.

We have some little sparrows that just go in there and motorboat the bird feeder, so there’s plants from the seed growing all over under our feeder haha. No corn though, that is pretty cool!

A few times, about music or movies, someone nicely jumped in to defend a misunderstanding yesterday (ty again). I seem to perpetually have my foot in my mouth which doesn’t help. I should seek out more things that interest me personally and just stay in my lane I guess. Now that I’m more at peace with myself I should let go of the need to have unproductive rants on political threads.

Haha, when the saying came about I’m sure it was, if you watch stuff like Dazed and Confused, I’m sure it’s exaggerated for Hollywood but overall it was a lot more loose. Unless you were TOO different, then it was a nightmare same as it ever was. Schools are literally prisons compared to what they used to be. Anyway, people who say stuff like that are usually the status quo who just coast through life on cruise control.

I wasted so much money on different nootropics over the years, but it was stuff like piracetam, centroxophine, deprenyl, hydergine, stuff that’s actually been tested on people before, and to be honest it would be hard to find a reputable lab nowadays unless you are a legitimate researcher.

Yeah, I’m sure that was going on a LOT, I never really had it in the forefront of my mind though, mostly because thinking of ways to make money seems to be an alien concept to my mind. They’ve been dreaming about doing this too, for some it’s their dream job, how pathetic is that, what kind of a life is that? Preying on some of the most vulnerable people who also do so much for us, not only in the way of hard work but enriching America with more and more culture which IS WHAT makes America great, that mix. America without immigrants and indigenous peoples would be a bunch of fucking Quakers and nobody (mostly) wants that.

I can literally hear him say all of that stuff, it’s so embarrassingly accurate. After decades of telling the American people government doesn’t work, the Republicans finally proved they were right… by nominating and electing an insanely unpredictable, greedy, self-serving criminal hatemonger to the highest office in the nation TWICE, not to mention the other major duds we’ve had through the years. Good show guys, really.

Wow, amazing, thank you for that background I did read about it but didn’t realize it was quite so simple, relatively speaking. I can’t believe the short sightedness of these folks, it’s unbelievable, it was probably a drop in the hat in the budget and now it’s going to end up costing way way more than they saved, hopefully no one dies, poor animals though although I suppose they were set to be eaten anyways but still.
