National socialists that only wanted socialism for their true Christian evangelical Germans. And no one else. Catholics sort of stood up to them, which is why we have vague references to religious institutions resisting nazis. But yeah Christians went balls deep almost immediately into being nazis.

Right, I’m not arguing that landlords are good. They seem to be a symptom of a system set up to encourage their shitty behavior.
I do wonder if a housing co-op is protected by law in some way. Or more likely it relies on a few people having good intentions who are running it. A housing co-op with no intent of profiting, ever, would be a good system imo.
Mod removed my post without reason. Maybe cussing offended them.
The market seems to self select for bad landlords. All the well intentioned ones I know got burned and stopped renting.
People not understanding the actual cost of owning and maintaining a house is my only argument for landlords. Or if you maintain it yourself it’s a knowledge and time requirement.
Not saying landlords did a great job maintaining the rentals I’ve lived in. But there was definitely a point in my life where renting made more sense than owning a house.
We really need more control on rent prices so only high density housing is rentable. Or something, I don’t have answers for why my shitty house is worth 70% more than it was 5 years ago.
It’s literally one of the fundamental differences between like republican voters and likely democratic voters in the US. Democratic voters don’t change their opinions based on who is doing the thing, Republicans will always agree when their leaders do the thing and disagree when democrats do it.
Semantics about, “oh it could exist”, are not worth discussing except in bad faith.
Are you actually this dumb? Or are you an LLM purposely trained to have a backwards training set?
Wish I could still be this delusional. Ignorance really is bliss.
I previously voted republican and was raised in the fox news soup. Its cult worship behavior that forces them to worship their leader. Its a big part of why it’s hard to move away from voting republican, they are all afraid of being cut out of the in group for disagreeing. None of that shit exists on the left, which is why they always argue about the basics.

As someone who commuted for a decade on a non e-bike. I’m legitimately wondering how we integrate them into existing infrastructure in the US. 50cc is the limit for gas engines before you need a motorcycle license, which at the high end is ~5HP. I’m seeing e-bikes with way more than 5HP being used on sidewalks. I don’t have an answer to the problem but it scares me to have such easy access to basically motorcycles that are classified as bicycles. I spent 2 decades sweating and learning to ride fast, now an inexperienced idiot can do 20+ mph when they have no business going that fast.
pahlimur@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What big budget movie had absolutely no buisness getting made?2·27 days agoI weirdly don’t hate the warcraft movie. It sucks in some ways but it does a good job feeling like it’s in the warcraft universe.
They’re arguing with an imaginary person and reciting talking points. I’m not sure they understand that I like guns, but understand that we need to control access to them.
It must be the 90s again to see someone saying that styrofoam and gasoline makes napalm lol. That is not actual napalm. It could hurt people, but it’s more like being lit on fire in modern plastic clothes than it is napalm.
Having easy access to guns is just objectively stupid.
Elder millennial parents pioneered unparenting. They are insufferable and have the shittiest kids. The iPad generation is how I know them.
Hopefully young men in this country wake up before the wars Republicans always start turn them into casualty statistics.
Edit: I’m a younger parent than the people I’m bitching about.
