Nah these are specifically meant for music, I have a pair of Shockz but there are cheaper options as well.

I’d say so. Having some ambient or instrumental music to occupy my mind a bit makes things less overwhelming. But its not going to block out an airplane or anything.

You can always use them with earplugs, though.

Bone conduction headphones, music of your choice. Only you can hear the music, and you can still hear everyone else around you as your ears aren’t covered.

I began noticing this on my discover weekly, some particularily bad AI slop was showing up (I listen to a lot of ambient) and that alerted me to audit the rest of my playlists.

Look for artists that:

• release an absurd amount of music per time period

• have only released music post-2023

• use obviously AI generated album art

• have no photo of the real artist or description

They’re expensive but not really overpriced. Boox tablets are essentially Android tablets with highly specialized screens.

Eink screens (particularly high refresh rate screens, like what you’re looking for) are still a relatively new tech and don’t have the cost benefits of more matured technology like LED/LCD. The cheap eink screens you see have very slow refresh rates and don’t offer the same pixel density, with harsher gradients.

I’d reccomend getting one used, or waiting for a seasonal sale. I’ve had one for a while and I love it.
