Sounds like a great day for a competitor to pop up.

Could you not find a source for this other than CBS News?

These things are gross. No one wants to be filmed by you in public.

By design:
So if you want your kid to actually get an education in Texas, you can no longer send them to public school.

By “drained” they mean stole.
“One water connection had been installed without the utility’s knowledge, and the other was not linked to the company’s account and therefore wasn’t being billed.”

What does it mean? It means Corpus Christi is run by a bunch of dumbasses who can’t get their desalination plants online. They’re a coastal city and they’ve overpromised their drinking water to industrial production without any way to provide it. There’s no excuse for them to be in a water emergency other than severe mismanagement.

Wow. A lawsuit where I can’t root for either side.
That said, “knowingly” aired sure is a stretch. Did they also “knowingly” have any evidence that what they were airing was true? Or was it just a rumor they heard? Did they use the term “allegedly” during this airing? You can’t just make up crap about someone and not lose a libel* suit. Unless you’re Fox “News” I guess.
Note that he wasn’t suing over reporting that he was involved in Jan 6. He was suing because Fox reported that, “Epps, 62, was an undercover government agent who helped incite the Capitol attack to entrap Trump supporters.”
(Quote comes from story linked within the posted story.)
*libel might not be the correct term to use here. I don’t know what is.

Return to office mandates are about stealth layoffs/attrition. Fuel prices might not have any effect since it wasn’t really about working from home to begin with. Of course businesses will continue to make one-off “work from home” exceptions for employees they can’t afford to lose.

If the Democrats had any balls, they would fine these companies after winning the midterms (if they win). Show them that Congress is the one that makes the law, and that the so called agreement that they made with the president isn’t valid, and they are in non-compliance of the actual law.

I’m reminded of WWII victory gardens.

Today I learned steam turbine power generation isn’t a closed system?? They just let the water evaporate??? WTF?!

Sounds patronizing. This is like telling someone with appendicitis, “Well you see, the appendix used to have this function back in caveman days…”

And who will be punished for breaking the law? Anyone??

It’s interesting how Trump just makes all these fiat changes when the Constitution says Congress makes the laws in the US.

It’s not like we weren’t warned. Repeatedly.

I wonder if stockholders could sue after the stock tanks/profit dips because it turns out those laid off employees weren’t actually replaced by AI?

Remember when the Supreme Court used to claim everything was “too close to an election” to change?
Outside of Boston, they aren’t very good. Stale donuts that taste like they’ve been thawed from frozen, and overly sugary coffee drinks.
