They wanted to remove the tax altogether but they couldn’t, so the tax was set to $0 instead. Now there is a lawsuit saying the tax is illegal altogether because it is an illegal federal firearm registry, which will uktimately remove the nfa restrictions anyway.
Which was overturned in 2024 btw.
Fire in a theatre presents a clear and immediate danger to the public and can cause immediate harm. Same with bomb in an airport. Buying a suppressor does not oresent a clear or immediate danger not cause immediate harm. A better analogy for the 2nd amendment would be open carry, which is often banned in certain places and has more restrictions. Buying 27 suppressors is closer to buying a lot of offensive t-shirts.
Concealment. A sawed off shotgun can be concealed under a suit, making it easy to commit robberies and assassinate. The bugger issue were Thompson sub-machine guns, which were short, fully automatic, and used by people that didn’t care for civilian casualties all that much.
Counterargument: No guns is obviously the safest. One gun or few guns in bad hands is very dangerous, and each gun added into the environment after in the hands of good people eventually adds safety. Not to the level of no guns but more than the few.
Guns make plenty of people safer, you have been lucky to be in a situation where one hasn’t been needed.
Either way, the law has spoken, the first amendment is upheld, and your opinion is not considered.
Luckily this is your opinion, and has no weight on my soul.
You consider it an abortion of justice yet they will still be divinely punished through purgation. Confession only prevents damnation to hell. Furthermore, your end sentence states Jesus would be appaled and you ranted about the church, but he did absolve sins and gave us the ability to do it.
Possibly, we truly cannot know until our day of judgement. Live good and true and honest friend.
A priest can save you from damnation and interprets divine law like how a lawyer can save you from prison and interprets mortal law.
Catholics actually believe in Purgatory, where the priest saves your soul from damnation to Hell, you are still divinely punished before you enter Heaven. That is unless you get the apostolic pardon and sacrament of penance.

Jesus absolves people of sins and gives men the ability to do so. Your disbelief in the ability does not influence the believers. If you have an issue with it you can always rant with the Unitarian Universalists.
Iron Age actually, and because you don’t believe it doesn’t make it any less real for believers.
The duties of a priest deal with divine law, and are acting closer to a lawyer than you may think.
Or any other crime. Confess you murdered a man and the priest is bound by confession.
It’s not just employed, it’s also safe from eternal damnation for breaking the seal and saving others.
Jews, Christians, and Muslims do not worship the same god. God in the three religions have different personalities, requirements for salvation, and wants, etc. They only share momotheism and early prophets, not even the same set of prophets. Jews achieve salvation by following the laws of Yahweh laid out in the Torah, Christians are saved through their belief in Christ and the sacrifice of God with repentance, and Muslims achieve salvation through the laws of Allah laid out in the Quran. Jews don’t consider Christians and Muslims to be true followers. Most Christians don’t consider Jews to be saved because if their soecific rejection of Christ, and Muslims have this half state for “people of the book” which also includes Zoroastrians.
