I like to be prepared for most situations, so this is the stuff I have in my backpack every day (top left to bottom right):
- Two USB cables
- USB charger
- Pen
- Deodorant
- Tissues
- Radiacode 102
- Power bank
- 2x USB C to A adapter
- USB condom
- Some emergency cash
- Tape
- Flipper zero
- Multitool
- Mints
- Desinfectant
- Wurkkos FC11C flashlight
- Hair ties
- Airtag
- Earplugs
- Sunscreen
- FFP2 masks
- Disposable gloves
- Some meds / band aids
Additionally in my pockets:
- Keys
- Wallet
- Bluetooth earbuds
- Phone
And a bag of cocaine! Or maybe that’s the gloves, lol.
Why do you need a Geiger counter? It looks like a cool device, but why is it EDC?
I’m a huge radiation nerd and just need to measure every orange tile and green glass that I stumble across.
That sounds fun. Now I want one, too.
Thank you for the post. Didn’t know a Radiaccode as a thing.
Hello fellow Radiacode user! What’s your most interesting find to date?
USB condom 🙃
How do you use your Flipper Zero?
- As a remote for some devices and garage doors
- I’m a bit of a data hoarder, so I record various radio comms, NFC tags, infrared… I find in the wild
- For field microcontroller programming
- Sometimes as a clicker during presentations
- I built a SCD30 extension board, so I sometimes use it to monitor the CO2 concentration in rooms
That is a nicely thought-out EDC. A lot of it would be useful day-to-day, but it also covers several emergency situations.
Thanks! I’m rather new to the game and still optimizing. But some of the things already have been very useful.
I’d add one of those mylar thermal blankets as well, it can mean the difference between life and death in some situations where a person is suffering from shock and can’t regulate their own temperature.
Never thought of that. Added to the backlog for sure!
