Meh. That’s doomerism, we have plenty of leeway to turn around and do what’s right. Apathy and nihilism are what got us into this situation.

Still, the history of humanity is long and the diversity of ways that humans relate to the natural world even in the current day is immense, no matter if most of us relate in toxic destructive ways to the natural world even as we try to improve, that doesn’t mean that other potentials don’t exist.

Do not let the capitalist framing of humanity foreclose your ability to imagine alternate ways of relating to the natural world, you are placing a monopoly on humanity that does not exist even though we are taught from a young age to subconsciously believe it does.
